Our Story

ShieldWatt was founded in 2003 by a team of power electronics engineers who believed that mission-critical UPS systems should be engineered with the same rigor applied to aerospace and medical devices — not treated as commodity products assembled from the cheapest available components.

That founding principle guides everything we do: from the way we select and qualify our component supply chain, to the 80,000-hour accelerated life testing every UPS platform undergoes before we approve it for production, to the 24/7 technical support we provide after installation.

Today, with 620 employees, nine certifications, and distribution partners in 55 countries, we remain focused on a single objective: delivering the most reliable, efficient, and well-supported UPS systems available to the engineers and facilities managers who depend on them.
